Long Description:

The General Federation of Women's Clubs has organized a motion picture committee. Mrs. Lilly [chairman] is finding genuine interest in motion pictures among the clubs of the country. The bringing of these large groups of influential women into an understanding relationship with the problems which we are all trying to solve, will do much to hasten the time when motion pictures shall have achieved a position of greater influence in the country. The YMCA is similarly organizing a committee to study motion picture problems. One of the major topics which they are discussing has to do with the use of motion pictures in our international relations. The Y.M.C.A. is active in the various countries of the world and is therefore, able to bring to this discussion a knowledge and a point of view that will be most helpful.Mr Hays delivered an address to the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church at its Indianapolis Meeting in which he spoke with vigor in favour of creating a fund, the income from which is to be used to supplement the income of Presbyterian ministers after they have retired from the active ministry.A central projection room is mooted, instead of visiting individual studios; there has been a visit from Swedish government official interested in educational applications of movies.
