Federal Motion Picture Council

The FMPCA, advertising its forthcoming conference, claims to want "Federal supervision, not censorship, of motion pictures at the sources of production. This event is attached to a meeting of the International Reform Federation, which is to meet on 13 December 1929. Subjects to be raised include such matters as "Senator Sheppard's bill to punish the buyer of intoxicating beverages," and "Federal Supervision of Motion Pictures." Its other concerns include the passage of a bill to punish buyers of liquor, enforcement and extension of Sunday Blue Laws, the adherence of the United States to the World Court and Prohibition in Europe."
