'Is the Trend in Motion Pictures Upward?" Rev. Wm. Sheafe Chase criticises the industry in general and Hays in particular. As usual, a major part of his argument relates to the harm that American movies do overseas, both in giving an undesirable picture of the U.S. and in lowering international moral standards.

Long Description:
Chase pamphlet on the state of the movies, and the usual charges. Dates the foundation of the FMP Council as July 7, 1925, and claims that the HoR Committee on Education in the two Congresses prior to 1919 reported favorably on a bill for "Federal regulation (not censorship)" of the motion picture industry, approved by the Episcopal church in 1919.
