Advertising - bad

'Bad Title and Advertising "Dynamite.'" A rational plea for a more restrained approach to titles and advertising in view of the objections of moral watchdogs and the activities of local censor boards. Includes a Catholic numerical "survey" of the incidence of marital infidelity, smoking by girls, immodest dress, etc. in recent motion pictures. Unsigned, dated only 1927. Followed by good-quality copies of the ads themselves including "Husband Hunters".

Long Description:

Examples of bad advertising, collected in early 1927 - mentions Curley and censorship in Worcester, Mass.  One Sheboygen, Wisc. editorial links Damaged Goods with US film One Night of Love and Flesh and the Devil.  Seems significant that they are identified together and a censorship bill was introduced in WI in 1927.
