Small file relating to the taxes and charges incurred when leasing independent theatres. The Chrystie Theatre Corporation owns a theatre in New York which they claim could become a first run theatre with profitable results. Palfreyman investigates, and discovers it is currently a former burlesque theatre now operating as a last-run grindhouse and paying rentals accordingly. It has suffered from competition from major cinema circuits.
