Scanlon complains about motion pictures being run "according to the caprice, cupidity or standards of half a dozen people most of whom belong to a race which rejects the New Testament, scorns the Lord's Day and puts more emphasis on money than morals," and in the next paragraph claims that his own approach is "fair, judicious and candid."
