Long Description:

American Newspaper Publishers Association Bulletin, 3 November 1936 complaining about the growth of screen advertising: "It is claimed that more than 6,000 of approximately 15,000 theatres in the United States now use sponsored films, and that between $20m. and $30m. will be spent for sponsored films during the next three years. It is also stated that while more than 150 commercial producers are now engaged in making commercial films there are less than two dozen which might be termed to be in the upper bracket for volume and quality."
