Long Description:

"...I feel very deeply that the responsibility is ours and the discharge of the duty should be made certain by us and that we should not be relieved of that care by a censorship from the outside. I feel this especially deeply when speech is involved in the censorship. I rather expect that you agree with me, fundamentally, in these basic opinions. ... the dominant note of my visit here [Hollywood] at this time is re-emphasizing the first necessity of our whole situation -- and that is, making certain that the pictures are still better and better with no objectionable matter ever allowed to appear in them. There are few pictures, indeed, which can now be criticized. There should be none. ... The industry's full duty will be discharged and I am sure that censorship of this method of expression will be abandoned everywhere. Our work is to make the films of such quality as that no responsible person can think there is any need for censorship."
