Protests

The National Billiard Association and branches, claiming to represent over FOUR MILLION BILLIARD PLAYERS in America, objects to treatment of billiard playing in Life's Greatest Game and Manhattan, which lead to "the poisoning of the public mind against a harmless recreation." They think movies and billiard playing need to present a united front against reformist elements, and they threaten a boycott or legal action. Eventually they cause both films to be recalled and modified.
