The Municipal Art Society of New York is objecting to offensive billboard and rooftop advertising. Most of the studios seem uninterested, but Universal is concerned because it has no theatre chain and depends on billboards to promote its products. First National suggest the Society is funded by the American Publishers Association, who are generally opposed to billboards.
