EDITORIAL COMMENT: These are significant because of criticisms of the content of the pictures used by the Navy made at Congressional Hearings on Navy appropriations in 1926, which are discussed at some length in the 1926 Congressional hearings into the Upshaw and Swope bills proposing a Federal Motion Picture Commission.

Various letters from the American Navy thanking the MPPDA for its commitment to educating the public on the work undertaken by the Navy. For Navy Day Celebrations, the Motion Picture Industry produced two one reel films, "Don't Give Up the Ship" and "It's the Navy Way", and distributed them free of charge to theatres across the country.
