Concern about Selznick's plan to make a movie of the Titanic disaster (directed by Hitchcock) because of the probable British reaction -- and concern from shipping interests that it will damage the shipping industry. If the ship is identified as British, "it will be regarded as an exceedingly unfriendly act. It would undoubtedly lead to diplomatic representations," despite plans to boost the British character in the movie. Also, shipping executives "are unable to see a picture story as we see it ..."
