Long Description:

Board of Directors resolution -- possibly of AMPP -- proposing that the Association develop plans "for the creation and preservation of the best possible good will, based on sympathy, fairness and understanding, between such various branches of the industry and the individual members thereof" -- and that an Association assessment be levied equal to the normal dues -- this presumably having something to do with campaigns and work to prevent unionization. This indicates that 2 June 1936 AMPP Board of Directors meeting set up committees to deal with "various permanent problems": Screen Actors, Screen Directors Guild, Screen Writers Guild of Authors League, and "Sanity of Producers". "Also, David Selznick was talking to Bob Montgomery about the grievances of actors but the producers will be able to handle David."
