Assistant to Will H. Hays, MPPDA, 1927-36. Previously a journalist on Atlanta Journal and New York Tribune, then a public relations counsel to the Bituminous Coal Industry, insurance companies, and other business, civic and educational enterprises. Author of two novels and magazine fiction, he returned to magazine journalism after leaving the MPPDA. In 1938 he also wrote and privately distributed An Oxford Thesis on Love, a series of comic dialogues “In Which L. Erectus Mentulus, Ph.D., late fellow of Oxford College, Draws From His Various Experiences for the Instruction, Entertainment and Greater Zest of His Colleagues, Friends and Admirers,” described by one source as “one of the finest American erotic manuscripts ever written.”
